Magnetic Flexible Dies

This series is specially designed for die cutting thick materials. We offer magnetic cylinders with a special gap, and flexible dies with a special height. Some of the applications that we can highlight are the die-cutting of RFID labels, Multi-page “Booklet”, Cardboards, Adhesive foams or multi-layer Technical Materials for electronics or automotive. ALTIUS dies are divided into 4 segments depending on the height of the cutting edge:
A.06 (0.5mm – 0.6mm)
A.08 (0.6mm – 0.8mm)
A.10 (0.8mm – 1mm)
A.15 (1mm – 1.5mm)

This series of plates makes it possible to mark and customization of textures of self-adhesive materials or cardboards. They are placed in the magnetic die-cutting cylinders and When the material passes through said unit, it is recorded on it, in low relief, the texture designed on the iron, obtaining total customization of the material. Extremely fine details can be achieved with lines as small as 0.1mm on the material marking.

Through the most advanced Laser technology, we can increase the hardness of the cutting edge up to 66 – 68 HRC. This process consists of controlled heating and cooling of the cutting edge to an exact depth and controlling the temperature that is reached automatically to guarantee constant hardness. Laser Quality offers a life between 200% and 300% longer than the standard die, and is especially recommended for:
∙ Complete Cut (metal to metal).
∙ Cutting of abrasive, thermal or synthetic materials .
∙ Metallic ink cut or white ink.
∙ Very repetitive jobs or large print runs.

Enduro Plasma coating on the surface of the die. The application of this special treatment considerably increases the life of the die. It offers an increase in hardness much higher than any other coating, exceeding 85HRc, reduces the coefficient of friction between the cutting edge and the material to be cut, and increases the wear resistance of the edge dramatically. Indicated for very long runs, synthetic materials, thermal materials, cutting on white ink, or materials that leave a lot of adhesive residue. It also has non-stick properties against adhesives and inks.

The Anti-adhesive treatment applies a non-stick layer to the surface of the die, which repels any type of dirt, adhesive or residual ink. This new treatment allows for greater speed and quality in the stripping process and drastically reduces die cleaning time. This coating can be combined with Laser hardening to increase the duration of the iron.
